Three years ago Vatili Tora was drummer n the Suva Travelodge band, He has just been appointed manager of the Savusavu TraveLodge on Vanua Levu island in a big reshuffle of TraveLodge personnel in Fiji.
“Mr Tora is a fine example of how someone can get to the top with hard work and an aptitude for the hotel industry,” said Ken Oates, TravelLodge’s general manager in Fiji. “He has been through all the various departments in the hotel and made good use of his training. We’re very happy to have him as a manager.”
Mr Tora is the second Fijian to become manager of a TraveLodge in Fiji. Setoki Taveta, formerly manager of the Savusavu TraveLodge, is transferring to take over the TraveLodge on Taveuni island.
