Sigavou Studios at the VOU Hub
Sigavou Studios has had a slightly nomadic
existence in the past few years, moving from
its initial home in a commercial area in Nadi to a
cavernous building on the road to Denarau. But it is
now headed to the VOU Hub, where it will operate
alongside like-minded creative enterprises such as
the VOU Dance Theatre from early next year.
The artists of Sigavou are known for their use
of masi or tapa as their canvas, and the vibrant
        colours which typify their work.
Founder Maria Rova describes the paintings as a
        “love song to Fiji”.
While Sigavou Studios features a gallery where
you can admire, and purchase work, it is also worth
a stop for one of its hands-on art experiences.
Whether it is a ‘sip and paint’ session or a turn at
‘spin painting’, you will have fun and leave with a
tangible memory of your time there.
