Fiji Airways has launched its inaugural direct flight between Nadi, Fiji, and Dallas Fort Worth, Texas – the airline’s longest route to date.
The airline says this strengthens its connectivity across North America and reinforces its commitment to expanding global travel opportunities for its passengers.
The service will initially operate three times per week (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) to what is said to be the second most connected airport in the world, providing access to more than 250 destinations.
Fiji Airways is using its Airbus A350-900 XWB to service the route, and projects up to 1000 passengers will use the service into Fiji weekly.
With the addition of the Dallas service, Fiji Airways now serves 26 direct international routes. In April 2025 Cairns in Northern Queensland is scheduled to become the 27th.
Launching the service, Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Andre Viljoen said: “This new route significantly strengthens Fiji Airways’ connectivity across North America, making it easier than ever for U.S. travellers to access Fiji and the South Pacific, with seamless onward connections to Australia and New Zealand.”
Viljoen added that the service will support Fiji’s tourism industry and create new avenues for business collaboration between our two nations.”
