Fijian-born fashion designer Angela Devi has officially opened her first flagship boutique, À La Mode, at Nadi Plaza, marking a major milestone in her 15-year journey in the fashion industry.

The boutique’s grand opening featured a live runway show and exclusive preview of Devi’s latest collection, Serendipity by À La Mode, attended by guests from the local fashion community and beyond.

Devi, who began her career in Australia, said the launch was the fulfilment of her lifelong dream to bring world-class fashion experiences to Fiji.

“I’ve always wanted to create a space where people could explore their personal style in a way that feels empowering and fun,” she said at the launch.

“Bringing this vision to life in Fiji, where my story began, makes it even more meaningful.”

The launch event drew attention to Devi’s evolution as a designer, from her early years in Australia’s fashion scene to her current work that blends local flair with international appeal.

“The boutique isn’t just fabric and design, its over more than 15 years of my passion, late nights, and belief that every person deserves to feel goof within their own case.”

Devi’s new boutique brings together global designer labels and her own designs, carefully selected for their versatility and inclusiveness.

The Serendipity collection reflects Devi’s signature approach, clean lines, bold textures, and a strong focus on elegance and individuality.

Guests were treated to a first look at the pieces during the fashion presentation and were invited to browse the store’s curated selection, with special launch incentives on offer.

Devi said she wanted À La Mode to be more than just a shop.

“It’s about the experience,” she explained. “We’ve created a space where customers can feel welcome and inspired. We also offer personal styling consultations so each visit is unique to them.”

The boutique’s opening is the latest in a wave of fashion ventures gaining ground in Fiji.

She aims to help shape a new chapter in local fashion, one that celebrates individuality, self-expression, and a growing appetite for designer fashion in Fiji.
