The Oceania Centre is excited to announce that our next exhibition is called ‘Vulaiwerewere: Celebrating the Moons of the iTaukei Calendar’.
Open from 21 May – 26 June 2026, this show marks the first solo exhibition by multi-disciplinary and Suva-based artist Ropate Rakuita Wailitu Kama.
When describing the exhibition, Ropate shares:
‘This exhibition is one part of a broader itch that is being scratched / marked and is birthed from this idea of ‘identity’, in search of a sense of belonging, that feeling of having firm foundations.’
Hosted at the Epeli Hau’ofa Art Gallery at the Oceania Centre, this beautiful and thought-provoking exhibition will be open on weekdays from 10am-4pm. Entry is the gallery is FREE.
We look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks!
