Samy Thiébault: A Jazz Journey in Fiji

Don’t miss out on a Fijian jazz and choir singing event this November 1st.

Combining the recognised talents from The Gang, an established Fijian band (Nahshon Fong on bass, Isireli Vulaca on drums and Conrad Kwan on guitar), the blooming young voices from Year 11 students from Suva Grammar School (SGS), trained by the prestigious Eni Kumar, will be sublimated by the unique sound of Samy Thiébault’s saxophone.

Samy, a French national, will travel all the way from Europe to discover Fiji and its musical traditions, starting in a village of Tailevu (Silana) where he will co-create music with the local sigidrigi band, and will then be in Suva for a show, organised in cooperation with SGS, a partner school of Alliance Française.

15 FJD per ticket
7.5 FJD if you’re a member of Alliance Française OR a part of the educative community of Suva Grammar
Tickets available at Alliance Française or at the gate (but take them early to avoid disappointment!)

Time: 6.30pm
Venue: Suva Grammar Main Hall
