School Holiday Programme at the Fiji Museum!

We’re thrilled to invite you to our School Holiday Programme, proudly funded by the Indian High Commission, Fiji. This exciting programme offers children a chance to explore culture, creativity, and history during the school break.

Madhubani Art: Children will be introduced to Madhubani, a traditional Indian art form from the Mithila region of Bihar.

Meaning: Madhubani translates to “forest of honey.”

Style: Known for intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and symbolic motifs.

Themes: Often depicts nature, mythology, and folklore, using natural dyes and pigments.

Cultural Value: A storytelling art form that preserves heritage and traditions.
