Fier.e.s La Voix du Pacifique (French Polynesia)
In French Polynesia, transgender people evolve with apparent fluidity in all aspects of society. Their presence, observed as early as the 18th century by Western travellers and missionaries, has continued to intrigue and fascinate, producing over time numerous myths that transgender women and men in Polynesia are now trying to deconstruct. Through a series of portraits that are both luminous and intimate, this documentary gives them a voice and offers a reinterpretation of gender issues in light of Oceanian thought: a clear enrichment.
