On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the French Alliance opens its 1st edition of the FFFF!!! (French Film Festival Fiji) !
So at 7pm we inaugurate the festival with a first screening/workshop around Georges Melies’ short film “Travel to the Moon” with Ben Wheeler and After Art.
After a brief interval, you will project the unmissable film of La Nouvelle Vague that inspired so many generations of filmmakers, A bout de Breath by Jean Luc GODARD:
“Michel Poiccard steals a car in Marseille and shoots down a policeman on the side of the road. In Paris, he meets Patricia, a young American who sells the New York Herald Tribune on the Champs-Élysées. She hosts him, they wander coast to coast, he’s looking for money from his old friends while police chase him. “
Finally, for those who wish to continue with the evening, informal discussions can take place on the terrace with drinks brought by each of us.

At 7:00 PM, we will open the festival with an initial screening/workshop featuring Georges Méliès’ short film A Trip to the Moon, with Ben Wheeler and After Art.
Following a brief intermission, we’ll screen the iconic New Wave film that has inspired generations of filmmakers: Breathless (À bout de souffle) by Jean-Luc GODARD:

She shelters him, they wander from one side of the city to the other, while he tries to get money from old friends and the police close in on him.”
