Pacific Island Food Revolution Season 3 underway

Pacific Island Food Revolution

The third season of a popular South Pacific cooking show is set to be released in early 2023.

With over 5 million weekly television viewers, Pacific Island Food Revolution is screened in 12 Pacific Island countries.

PIFR chair and co-host Robert Oliver says production for Season 3 took three weeks, with five participating countries – Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Fiji and first timers, Papua New Guinea. It was shot at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

Season 3 guest judges include: Taholo Kami former ICUN director, Jonathan Veitch UNICEF Pacific Representative, Mele Maula of SWAG, Alisi Tuqa from the Pacific Community (SPC), Rinesh Sharma founder of Smart Farms Fiji, Sangeeta Maharaj owner of Eden Bistro & Bar, Peni Tawake of The Asia Foundation, Viran Brown the Acting Vanuatu High Commissioner, and George Edwards a Professor of Law at Indiana University.

Oliver said producing the new season was no easy feat. “Big thanks to everyone who applied and to those who were not selected this time, don’t let that deter you from your love and passion for cooking. I hope to see you again in the next audition for PIFR,” he said.

You can watch PIFR on television stations across the Pacific next year.
