Labasa Airport will reopen tomorrow following the completition of runway strengthening works.
Fiji Airports undertook the work over six weeks as part of the World Bank-funded Na Vualiku project.
Work continues on the airport terminal.
Fiji Airports Chief Executive Mesake Nawari said this project represents a key investment in the North’s aviation infrastructure.
“The completion of the runway strengthening works at Labasa Airport ensures safer and more reliable operations, while also supporting economic growth and connectivity for the Northern Division,” Nawari said.
