The civil society organisation Diverse Voices and Action For Equality (DIVA), is organising a clean-up campaign this weekend at the popular Wailoaloa Beach in Nadi.
The campaign promises to bring together diverse people to work towards the common goal of preserving Fiji’s beaches and ensure that corporations do not ‘privatise it’ and view it as ‘tourist-centered’.
Since 2011, DIVA has been leading a collective of feminists with a strong commitment to grassroots-led social, economic, ecological and climate justice efforts.
The organisation says games, prizes and refreshments will be provided at the venue.
The campaign is on October 26, 2024 from 7am – 12pm.
